BOARD OF DIRECTORS: Alex Wong

Alex Wong is head of venture capital at the D.E. Shaw Group. Prior to joining the D.E. Shaw Group in 2005, Dr. Wong was a partner at Apax Partners, a global private equity firm. Before that, he served as a managing director at Intel Capital and in technical roles at Motorola, Inc. and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. He currently serves on the board of directors of Infinite Power Solutions, Inc. and Solaicx and serves as a board observer for WiQuest Communications, Inc. Dr. Wong holds a B.S. in computer engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and an M.S. and a Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
