BOARD OF DIRECTORS: Ken Pearlman

Ken Pearlman is Director of Research for Firsthand Capital Management, Inc., where he is a member of the Portfolio Management Teams for the Firsthand E-Commerce Fund and Firsthand Global Technology Fund and is responsible for managing private equity investments. Ken currently sits on the boards of Global Locate, Silicon Genesis, Solaicx and UCT Coatings. He is a board observer for Authentec, Innovion, IP Unity and Silicon Optix. Prior investments include Magma Designs, NuTool and Radia.

Ken has more than 25 years of industry and investment experience. Prior to joining Firsthand, Ken was with CIBC World Markets, where he was Executive Director of Semiconductor Research. While at CIBC, he achieved the distinction of becoming one of the Wall Street Journal's All-Star Analysts in 1999 and 2000.

Prior to joining CIBC, Ken was a senior vice president at Dean Witter Reynolds, Inc. Mr. Pearlman's semiconductor research experience also includes tenures at Preferred Technology, Inc.; Robertson, Stephens &Company; and Dataquest. Ken's technology industry experience includes eight years in engineering positions at Raychem Corporation, 3M Company, and Exxon Office Systems. He holds two patents for novel liquid crystal display technologies.

Ken has a bachelor's degree from the University of California at Riverside and a master's degree in business administration from Santa Clara University, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
