Dr. Ward has over 30 years experience
in high tech environments. He has held senior
executive level positions in major semiconductor
and semiconductor capital equipment firms. He
has extensive experience with financial responsibility
for organizations in excess of $200 million in
annual sales. His experience encompasses, new
product definition and development, manufacturing
operations, business plan development, customer
relations, strategic and tactical marketing and
international operations.
He began his career at Texas
Instruments managing an advanced technology group
developing leading edge semiconductor memory and
microprocessor products. Seven years later, he
moved to Advanced Micro Devices where he became
vice president of the Non-volatile Memory Division.
In 1992, he joined Silicon Valley Group as President
of the Thermal Division developing leading edge
diffusion and CVD semiconductor process equipment.
Dr. Ward also serves on the
Board of Directors of a Bay Area semiconductor
metrology firm. He received an MSEE from Stanford
in 1965 and a PhD from Purdue in 1970.
