


Robert Medearis
Mr. Medearis is a Management Consultant and Professional Director. His exemplary talents and highly regarded reputation as a dynamic businessman have been demonstrated for over thirty years while serving in the capacity of director for nineteen companies and organizations including: Silicon Valley Bank (Founder), Bank Plus, Commerce Security Bank, Western Real Estate Trust, Risk Management Software (Founder), InnerAsia/Geographic Travel, William Sherman Company, Chalice Investments, Inc., Techarmonic, Inc and the Gorbachev Foundation.
Among his many noteworthy accomplishments, Mr. Medearis founded the $4 billion Silicon Valley Bank where he served as Chairman during its formative years from 1983 to 1989, and is now Director Emeritus. He is a retired Consulting Professor for Stanford University's School of Engineering and at the University of California Davis, School of Management. Mr. Medearis is a widely acknowledged expert in the areas of Real Estate, Real Estate Financing, Banking and Entrepreneurship. Mr. Medearis' interests have been most recently focused and have produced significant impact upon the Republic of Georgia where he developed the strategic plan for the Banking Industry for the Republic.
Mr. Medearis was also a co-founder of Solar Energy Research Associates and merged with Bill Yerkes's Solar Technologies. In 1978, Solar Technologies was purchased by Arco Solar, the world's largest photovoltaic company until it was sold to Siemens in 1990.
Mr. Medearis holds an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from Stanford University and an MBA from the Harvard School of Business.
